The vendor was offered the guitar as he was a known fan of Mike Oldfield. The bass is sold with a signed letter of authenticity from Tom Newman of Tom Newman Productions, confirming that this instrument was owned and used by Mike Oldfield and can be seen in the videos for 'Shadow on the Wall', 'Pictures in the Dark', and 'Islands' from the Windchimes collection. The Roland can also be seen behind Mike in a black and white still, as well as illustrated amongst a group of guitars within the 'Discovery' album sleeve.
