508 :: The Alarm - Studio and stage used late 1970s Roland Jazz Chorus-120 JC-120 2 x 12 combo guitar amplifier, ser. no. 554176 ** This amp has been owned by Mike Peters since the early 1980?s and was the first proper amp he had in The Alarm when they started touring professionally. It can be seen in hundreds of shows all the way from 1982 - 1986, including the Tube and also at the Spirit of ?86 concert, which was the first ever worldwide live Satellite broadcast via MTV. The Alarm had two, one that was used by Dave Sharp and this one was used to power Mikes home made electro acoustic guitar, a Lorenzo 12 string acoustic with electric guitar pick ups retro fitted. It was always used with a touch of the classic Roland Jazz Chorus blended with the natural sound. This amp has been used on 'Declaration', 'Strength', including the singles ?The Stand?, ?Sixty Eight Guns?, 'Where Were you Hiding When The Storm Broke?? and most Alarm recordings from 1983 - 1985. ** Live photograph shows the amplifier in use
